A Day of Learning, Love, and Festive Joy
The Gurban Bayram celebration for children with autism and Down syndrome was more than just a festival — it was a special day of joy, development, and community bonding. Throughout the day, we witnessed every child discovering their potential, families feeling proud, and the community coming together to create something beautiful.
Boccia is a special sport that helps children develop hand-eye coordination, focus, and strategic thinking. Professional coaches ensured every child could participate at their own level. The mini-tournament was one of the happiest moments of the day — every child received a medal, and the joyful smiles on their faces were the greatest reward for us. 35+ volunteers ensured safety, comfort, and fun.
Memory games, problem-solving challenges, and sensory exercises adapted to each child's abilities created a sense of inclusion and achievement. Professional psychologists and therapists worked alongside the children, highlighting each one's strengths and teaching new skills. Parents watched their children courageously trying new things and growing.
The traditional Gurban Bayram meal, rich with 150+ kg of meat, sweets, cakes, and beverages, gave everyone a complete holiday experience. The meal wasn't just about nourishment — it was about sitting together, sharing, and creating a sense of family. Every family returned home with traditional holiday food, and this happy memory stayed with them for a long time.
